Forest School & Nature Play Volunteer - Job Description

Purpose of Post:

To contribute to supporting Nature Play, Well-being and Forest school sessions delivered by Nature Base.

Key Areas:

·      To work alongside children and their families

·      To Promote the Nature Base Values of: Well-being through Family and Nature Connection

·      Support the Outdoor lead during Nature Base sessions e.g. with Creative planning and managing activities within sessions in an ‘Invitational’ and ‘Child led’ way.

·      Support the set up and Clear up of sessions.

·      Be welcoming to the public and a supportive team member.

·      Carry out other duties as agreed by Nature Base.

·      Uphold and promote the procedures detailed in the Nature Base Forest School Handbook; including Health and Safety.  

·      Have a good understanding of the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, including the Safe Procedures Flow Chart for reporting any concerns.

·      Read and have an understanding of all Nature Base Policies and Procedures, available on the website.

·      Read and agree to uphold the Nature Base ‘Code of Conduct’

This position requires a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring disclosure) and receipt of two satisfactory references.
